How They Compare

Both are literature-based Christian curricula with strong history spines, but they serve families differently. Sonlight packages dozens of carefully selected living books with a day-by-day Instructor's Guide. My Father's World integrates Charlotte Mason methods with unit studies and hands-on activities, designed for multiple children to study the same topic together.

Sonlight is the better fit for families with a single child or children close in age who love being read to. The book selections are exceptional and the daily plan eliminates lesson prep. My Father's World is the better fit for larger families with children spanning several grade levels, where the multi-age design lets everyone learn together. Sonlight is more book-focused. My Father's World is more activity-focused.
