Music Curriculum — Charlotte Mason · Eclectic — Hybrid — Christian
SQUILT stands for Super Quiet UnInterrupted Listening Time — a Charlotte Mason-inspired approach to music appreciation. Each lesson centers on one piece of music. Students listen, then note what they hear: instruments, tempo, dynamics, mood. A brief lesson page provides context about the composer and piece. That’s it — no instrument required, no music theory prerequisites, no prep for the parent. Volumes are organized by era (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern) and by composer. The membership adds streaming access and additional resources. Many families do SQUILT during lunch or as a morning time addition. It’s gentle, beautiful, and genuinely cultivates an ear for music.
