Torchlight was built by a homeschool parent who wanted a secular, diversity-centered, literature-based curriculum and couldn’t find one. Each level is organized around a theme and curates high-quality books representing a wide range of cultures and perspectives. Art appreciation, science, and hands-on projects are woven in. The guides are detailed and open-and-go. Torchlight is relatively new compared to giants like Sonlight or Ambleside, but it’s growing quickly and filling a real gap in the market for secular families who want beautiful, book-based education with intentional global representation.
