Both are classical Christian curricula, but they deliver the classical model in very different ways. Classical Conversations is a community-based program where families meet weekly for group instruction, presentations, and Socratic discussion. Memoria Press is a home-based, book-centered program with beautifully designed materials that families work through independently.
The deciding factor is usually community vs. independence. Classical Conversations families commit to one full community day per week plus home practice, and the social and accountability structure is a major draw. Memoria Press families work at their own pace at home with no required group component. If built-in community matters as much as academics, CC is hard to beat. If you want a clean, well-organized classical education you can do entirely at home, Memoria Press is the more flexible option.
